So where is the brand spanking new trailer for Halo 4. This bad boy includes actual gameplay footage as well!

I must admit that those new weapons left my fingers itching to try them out…  They seemed to self form ala transformers.

We’re ALL thinking it by the way, that Elite got fucking pwned… lol

The new sentinel things seemed interesting. The way they grab grenades seemed to make them mostly useless early on, but then they showed how you can destroy those sticky bastards and get 2 booms for one. 😀

The 2 legged sucker totally reminded me off Skull Kid from Majora’s Mask! I think it mostly came from how he carried himself.

what do you guys think? hahahaha

O and i guess Cortana is really losing it huh guys? Who’s down to say that she betrays Master Chief at some point when she’s not in the “right” frame of mind?

For more info, check out the article where i got the clip from here.

Also, stay tuned for more awesomeness and coverage of the E3 event! 😀

If you’re one of the crazy people to have pre-ordered the newest Samsung Galaxy S III phone, than count yourself as part of the 9 Million customers to have already pre-ordered the device.

If you’re not, and you’re interested in laying down almost 1K for this phone, than by all means, please follow this link and pre-order yourself the phone on Amazon’s website. Or you can visit the TRB Store and order the phone, or simply search and find yourself a much less expensive phone for the meantime.

If you don’t have the $850 it costs to pre-order this phone, count yourself lucky. I’m sure that the carriers will be subsidizing this phone like all the others out there. Unless they decide all at once they’re no longer offering sub’d phones, which is highly unlikely.

Looking for an HTC One X or HTC EVO LTE 4G?

Unfortunately these phones have been delayed by a patent dispute with Apple, and we don’t know when they’ll be coming to stores near you. In HTC’s latest press release, they say that they are “working closely with Customs to secure approval”. Today was the official release date for the Evo 4G, and it looks like customers will have to wait to get their phones. I’ll keep you updated with any news as to when it becomes available.

I posted yesterday about the unlimited data plans that Verizon has for grandfathered customers. After reading the newest press update, they have further explained that once the new plans are introduced, any customer signing a NEW contract (meaning you’re renewing it and agreeing to another 2-year contract with them) you will no longer have the option of continuing with your unlimited contract, and are required to go into one of the new data plans.

They also explained that you may still keep the unlimited data plans, but are required to pay the full price for the new phone (between $300-$600 usually, which I find ridiculous to begin with….). If you’re planning on keeping that unlimited data plan going forward, I recommend extending your contract if you’re up, or else you may be forced into their new data plans which may not be for you. If I can’t purchase a new phone before their new plans come out, Sprint is starting to look really good right now (they’re the only carrier to still offer true unlimited data, even though no true 4G… YET.)

All Things D reported that anyone on one of the grandfathered unlimited data plans on Verizon will not be allowed to keep unlimited data if you’re going from a 3G device to a 4G device starting this summer. If you want to keep that unlimited data plan it sounds like you better upgrade your device soon.

Lightsquared, the company that until recently was partnered with Sprint to bolster 4G through its own network, file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They have had a number of things goes against them unfortunately, including having the FCC rule against them, stopping them from going forward with their version of 4G. According to the FCC, Lightsquared’s network was interfering with GPS signals, and denied them the ability to deploy their network after testing. If you’re interested in finding out more on the filing, click here to read the press release.

HTC EVO 4G LTE on sale 05/18/2012

Posted: May 14, 2012 by bobthetech in Android, Mobile phones, Sprint

If you’re a Sprint customer, or looking to convert over, now would be a great time to switch or renew your contract. The HTC EVO 4G is on sale starting  Friday in Sprint stores across the country. If you missed out on what’s going on with this phone, it’s Sprint’s newest 4G phone to date.

Although it’s a 4G phone, Sprint hasn’t rolled out its 4G network anywhere, and when they do, it’ll be in phases. So don’t expect that you’ll be getting crazy download speeds yet, but if you lock yourself into a two-year contract, there is a good chance Sprint will be rolling out larger areas of 4G, but will it be coming to an area near you?

Google Who?

For all the iPhone users out there, Macrumors recently reported that Apple will be possibly ditching Google Maps in the very near future, in favor of their own turn-by-turn software that looks amazing. It talks about 3-d mapping not only select buildings like Google Maps does, but every building in every city. Now that’s quite a bit of work to do…..

If you’ve rooted your device and you’re sitting there scratching your head thinking, “What do I do now?”, know you’re not alone. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do when I rooted my Droid 2 way back when.

The first thing I’ll tell you to do is this: Backup your phone. Most rooted devices come with a quick and painless option to do this. If you’re not sure, you may need the app Rom Manager. Once you download it, simply select “Backup Phone”. It’ll walk you through what to do from there. If you know how to get your phone into th bootloader screen, than its also pretty simple: use the volume buttons (if your device has them) to go to the “Backup & Restore” option (selecting the option usually involves one of three things, your picture button, the power button, or with some newer devices  the Home soft key), then proceed to select “Backup” on the next screen.

That’s it. You’re done. Well you have to wait a while for your phone to complete the backup, but after that, you can go back and reboot your phone.

The other thing that I also recommend once you’ve rooted your phone is to go and get Titanium Backup + Root and backup your apps (Note: this is different than Rom Manager, which backs up your entire phone. Titanium Backup + Root backups only your apps). This app has some great features, including backing up your backup to a number of cloud services like Dropbox, or Google Drive. If you need to restore your apps, or just the data for any reason, this app is a bit of a pain if you don’t have the Pro version. You have to keep saying yes to the each restore, signifying that you are sure you want the app/data restored. I normally don’t shell out too much for apps, but for $6.58 at the time of this posting, I think it’s totally worth it. If you have even somewhere around 30 apps you’re restoring, that’s 30 different times you have to agree and hit continue.

There are other things that you can do such as overclocking your phone, but I’ll save that for later, since that is a little more in depth.
