New Halo 4 News

Hey there readers. Just checking in with some new Halo 4 news! Here are a few points that you may find interesting:

–Halo 4 is set in the year 2557, 4 years, seven months and 10 days since the end of Halo 3

This means that the world has had some time to change, which should mean interesting things for both humanity, and the covenant.

–Cortana’s eventual rampancy with be a solid piece to the storyline

Cortana is not bound by her programming, and has reached her mental breaking point as an AI. I hope the Master Chief finds a way to save Cortana….I think I speak for most in saying that she has become an integral part to the Master Chief persona.

-The Covenant (Grunts and Elites at least) are returning, but aren’t the main enemy

This REALLY interested me. According to the leaked news, Master Chief lands on the planent  “Requiem”. We get to meet an entirely new foe for us to slaughter, which means new weapons and gear. This is a huge step that 343 industries is taking. I really hope this all works out.

-Firefight is out…

This really bummed me out! I loved firefight! To be able to jump in there and wreak havoc with your buddies was the best! I remember making crazy impossibly maps.. Anyone up for some pistol vs 3 killer hunter squads and active cameo? Best ever…

–Armor abilities will be changed!

Hologram, Jet-Pack, and Camo were all mentioned to be included (yay for hologram!). A new power up of being able to see through walls (known as “forerunner vision”) was shown off, and the Sprint power will now be included for all players. No word on if things like bubble shield and armor lock made the cut..

–Random respawn locations for weapons

This little change should be interesting… I think it will help level the playing field for those who aren’t the greatest at Halo multiplayer. Those who are average will probably suffer from being too….average without their favorite weapons. Those who are crazy good couldn’t give a flying f*ck.. Let face it, when you’re that good, you can leave terror and destruction with just about anything…
